Efficient cooling of the blade holder and microtome chuck, and excellent microtome rigidity allow for a variety of tissues—from lymph node through mammary gland—to be sectioned in an ideal temperature range.
 
Enhanced infection control features—even advanced instruments are operated by people
Intraoperative rapid diagnosis can expose personnel to infectious agents. The Polar provides a unique draft generator to minimize release of contaminated air to the outside of the chamber, in addition to the ozone disinfection cycle and vacuum debris removal system. Complete infection control features protect laboratory staff.
 
Significantly increased work efficiency—even more user-friendly in intraoperative rapid diagnosis procedures
Comments and desires from many cryostat users were incorporated into the Polar to improve the handling and work flow during operation and made the Polar even more user-friendly from section preparation through cleaning.
